Target Recalls 480,000 Infant Rompers and Swimsuits

Target has recalled approximately 480,000 units of infant rompers and swimsuits following safety concerns. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on December 30, 2020.

  1. Cloud Island Infant Rompers (299,000 units)
    • Target received 16 reports of snaps breaking, detaching, or being missing. These incidents resulted in minor injuries, including scratches and pinching.
    • The rompers were sold between July 2019 and October 2020, priced at $10 for a single romper or $11 to $12 for a 2-pack.
    • Customers are advised to return the recalled rompers to Target for a full refund.
  2. Cat & Jack Infant-Toddler One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuits (181,000 units)
    • The swimsuits were recalled due to 27 reports of snaps breaking or detaching, including one report of a laceration.
    • Sold from December 2019 to October 2020 for about $15, customers are encouraged to return the suits to Target for a refund or contact Target for a prepaid return label.
